Shadowlands has been one of the most desired expansions for World of Warcraft fans. It is not for less, with all the content that brings us. And the animated shorts of the series World of Warcraft: Shadowlands also serves to control our appetite. Now it’s available, The Beyond: Maldraxxus, the second installment in the series of animated shorts created by Blizzard for the Shadowlands expansion. The second part presents a preview of the conflict of the great houses of Maldraxxus as they struggle to control the armies of the Shadowlands. Maldraxxus is one of the kingdoms found in the Shadowlands, controlled by the Pact of the Necromancers. The lands of Maldraxxus represent the heart of the Shadowlands’ military strength. It is home to evil beings like necromancers and abominations. But they are not alone. All the souls that fall into this realm are those who are willing to fight for greatness. Most of them are reformed by the necromancers to become Undead. Soldiers who defend the Shadowlands from external forces and wage war on the enemies of death are forged in these lands. The rise of the troops is decided by power, while the less promising become fuel for weapons. The director of this short animation was Brian Horn, produced by Taka Yasuda, and written by Christie Golden. World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is a four-episode animated series that shows the covenants that will hold dominion over the expansion’s new zones. The next short animations are Shadowlands Afterlives: Ardenweald (September 10), and Shadowlands Afterlives: Revendreth (September 17).
